William

William “Bill” James Hauk, 60 of Warsaw, Illinois passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 9:45 A.M. at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born on March 4, 1952 in Rock Island, Illinois a son of Robert and Rosemary Feldhake Hauk. Bill married Sheila Fae Launer on June 4, 1977. She survives in Warsaw, Illinois.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father: Robert Hauk of Warsaw, IL; his mother and father-in-law: Leo and Norma Launer of Warsaw, IL; two sons: Shawn (Ashley) Hauk of Norfolk Virginia and Derek Hauk of Elgin, Illinois; siblings: Cathy (Phil) Brown of Canton, Michigan, Laura (Steve) Siegrist of Warsaw, Illinois, John (Maria) Hauk of Oak Park, Illinois, Robert (Janet) Hauk Jr. of Warsaw, Illinois, Rick (Diana) Hauk of Chicago, Illinois, Dave (Joyce) Hauk of Warsaw, Illinois and Jeff (Karen) Hauk of Howell, Michigan; six grandchildren; Morgan, Max, Finley, Rosie, Christopher and Chloe; brothers and sisters-in-law: Sharon (Gary) Gonterman of Wever, IA, Cindy (Joe Wayne) Heathcott of Newbern, TN and Russell (Hilda) Launer of Warsaw, IL; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary and a brother-in-law: Leo Andrew Launer.

Bill graduated Warsaw High School class of 1970. He was a member of Deer Run Golf in Hamilton, Illinois. Bill enjoyed camping, bowling, and playing softball, especially for the Harrison Monument Softball Team. Bill was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw. He worked for Climax in Ft. Madison for 34 years. He especially loved the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

Family will meet with friends Thursday, December 20, 2012 between 4:00 and 7:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw. A Mass of Christian Burial Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw with Father Tony Trosley as Celebrant. Memorials have been established in his memory.
